Faculty

Timothy P. Morris, PhD

Tim is an Assistant Professor and faculty in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University. He holds positions in the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Applied Psychology.

Graduate Students

Emma Tinney

Emma is a graduate student in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health working with Charles Hillman and Arthur Kramer. She is spearheading our Exercise and Concussion Study. Her research interests include how exercise effects the brain in different patient populations, using various neuroimaging methods. Outside of the lab, Emma enjoys running, swimming, yoga, and trying new restaurants.

Mark Nwakamma

Mark is a former professional athlete and currently a 3rd year graduate student in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health also working with Charles Hillman. He is spearheading our Exercise and Concussion Study.

Meishan Ai

Meishan is a 3rd year graduate student in the Center for Cognitive and Brain health working with Art Kramer.

Goretti EspaƱa

Goretti has recently completed her PhD at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is a physical therapist with years of experience working with brain and spinal cord injury patients. She is interested in how lifestyle factors like cardiorespiratory fitness/exercise can promote and sustain brain health with age and after injury.

Research Coordinators

Lexie Hackman

Lexie is a research coordinator with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience and Psychology. Her background is in Clinical Research where she worked with post-stroke recovery and rehabilitation. Outside of the lab, she enjoys reading, photography, and puzzles.

Undergraduate Researchers
